Due to its cooling nature, it is often useful for inflammation in Ayurveda. To brew:
  1. Boil 1 liter of water
  2. Once the water has reached a roaring boil, turn off the heat and add a handful of hibiscus leaves
  3. Cover with a lid and let infuse for 10 minutes
  4. Strain the hibiscus leaves and let cool
  5. Add ½ of a lime, juice, and 1-2 Tbsp of coconut sugar
  6. Mix well and serve warm

Ginger Tea

Ginger is a historically classic herb used in Ayurvedic and Chinese kitchens. Ginger is powerful for improving digestion, reducing gas, relieving nausea, and reducing pain and inflammation, making it a great healthy herbal tea to drink daily, and especially before meals. It is also considered slightly warming, making it enjoyable to sip on during the autumn, winter, and spring. The ginger flavor may mellow a bit once cooked, making the tea form a delight. To brew:
  1. Bring 1 liter of water and 1-knob of sliced ginger to a boil
  2. Once boiled, reduce the heat and simmer for 12 minutes
  3. Turn off and remove from the heat and allow to cool
  4. Strain the ginger and add this healthy herbal tea to your favorite mug
  5. Add a dollop of fresh honey
