Why We're Out of Stock
The short answer for why Chyawanprash is out of stock is: supply chain issues. We handcraft our Chyawanprash from 35 organic and wild-crafted ingredients that are sustainably sourced from India. Global supply chain issues have resulted in delays affecting the production and transportation of our product. In addition, Chyawanprash includes Ghruta as an ingredient and Ghruta has had its own unique production delays! Simply put, Ghruta is unlike any other ghee on the market:- Firstly, we choose free-range, grass-fed Indian Gir cows to make our ghee. These sacred beings produce more digestible A2 milk and, according to Ayurveda, can harness the illuminating energy of the sun. They are never sacrificed or consumed and the breed is generationally sustained. In addition, our Gir cows are only milked of their own free will and after they have fed their calves. This means we have a finite quantity of milk.
- We also choose to handcraft our Ghruta in India during the winter season. Even though Ghruta can be made every season, the wild herbs and grasses which nourish the cows during these months produce the best tasting and textured ghee! (Our Gir cows are free to roam the Gujarati plains and forests of India and graze as they please, in alignment with nature.)
- Lastly, since the winter season follows the monsoon season, the drier climate creates a healthier environment for making artisanal, cultured ghee according to ancient ayurvedic traditions.
