In what order should I consume Ghruta and Chyawanprash in the morning? I also like to drink lemon water...Getting our morning routine right is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. It is, after all, how we begin our day, creating the imprint for the hours that follow. If we begin it well - in harmony with our needs and constitution - then we are giving ourselves the best chance of feeling balanced and energised for the rest of the day. And what more could we ask for? Great news that you have invested in both Chyawanprash and Ghruta: you are on course for setting yourself up very well each day ahead. Chyawanprash is a multi-versed tonic of wonder, the nectar of longevity as it’s termed in Ayurveda. Ghruta is an incredible nervous system soother and nourisher of the tissues, as well as being the best vata rebalancer. The magic of both Chyawanprash and Ghruta is that they suit pretty much everyone…with a couple of caveats.*
Feeling Into Your Needs
Without doing a consultation** with you I couldn’t tell you what your specific needs are, but I can tell you how to feel into what your needs are, and have the confidence to know that some day’s needs will be different to other days’. It’s all about your needs :) So I would recommend: when you wake up in the morning - once you are up and have stretched your arms above your head and drunk a little warm water - now feel:- Did you have a good night’s sleep, do you feel rested with a back drop of steady energy?
- Do you feel wired and shaky, like your vata is out of balance?
- Do you feel a little lethargic and dull, like you just want to sleep more (ie. your kapha is peaking in the wrong direction and you may have some toxicity roaming the channels?)
