PIOR Living Chyawanprash
PIOR Living Chyawanprash
Ayurvedic Herbal Superfood Jam From Organic And Wild-Harvested Botanicals
PIOR Living Chyawanprash (“chah – vahn – prash”) is an ancient ayurvedic herbal jam that blends 31 organic and wild-harvested spices and herbs with honey, Ghruta ghee, jaggery, and black sesame oil to create a nourishing jam that rejuvenates the body and mind and supports overall wellness. As the foremost ayurvedic rasayana (rejuvenative therapy), Chyawanprash is one of most powerful and popular supplements for regular use in ayurvedic medicine. It's beloved for its ability to build ojas (vitality) and stimulate healthy cellular rejuvenation and tissue formation throughout the body. From the antioxidant power in amalaki to the immuno-modulating abilities of guduchi and the calming adaptogenic effects of ashwagandha, Chyawanprash's symphony of botanicals work together in harmony to support the respiratory, circulatory, immune, and digestive systems to boost overall energy and wellness, sharpen clarity and focus, and soothe the nervous system.
For general health and wellness, slowly consume 1-2 teaspoons as part of a morning routine and at least 15 min before breakfast.
Dating back at least 5,000 years, Chyawanprash is rooted in the ancient ayurveda principle that food and medicine should be intertwined. According to the legend of Chyawan, the revered and elderly sage was meditating when he became enlightened to a formula designed to increase longevity and improve quality of life. Chyawan created his recipe and over the next 40 days consumed a small amount at 4:00 am just prior to 40 minutes of meditation. He discovered this elixir had a rejuvenating and anti-aging effect. He also gained insight into prash, which signifies the importance of consuming food artfully and intentionally. In 100 A.D., the recipe of Chyawanprash appeared in the ancient ayurvedic text, Charaka Samhita as a medicinal remedy.
PIOR Living strives to produce Chyawanprash as authentically as possible. Our formulation uses the Charaka and Bhavaprakasha recipes for guidance with adjustments according to modern botanical availability and western health and digestive needs. All of the ingredients used are organic, wild-crafted, and sustainably sourced from India and only traditional ayurvedic hand-crafted methods are employed using the following process:

I’ve been using Pior Living Chyawanprash since my Ayurvedic practitioner suggested it a year ago. This is a really nice blend that is not too sweet. I feel that it is supporting my body in many ways. So glad your company is making it!!
I am such a fan of PIOR Living. This is the absolute best Chyawanprash I’ve found. So many are too thick and overly sweet. This is the perfect consistency and just a bit spicy. I feel like I’m doing something wonderful for myself every time I take it. I also appreciate their commitment to ethical sourcing which is a big reason why I’m such a fan of this company. Thank you for producing such amazing products! I never want to be without them.
We love it, appreciate this ancient wisdom.
This is the first time I have tried Chyawanprash. I am new to Ayurveda and this Chyawanprash has become one of the first steps I've integrated into my dinacharya. After a recent bout with COVID, I just couldn't get my energy or vitality back. Nothing that doctors gave me or suggested helped in the least. That is when I decided to incorporate Chyawanprash into my mornings. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I feel so much better. My energy has recovered and stays stable throughout the day. I am finding that I do not need caffeine to make it through my mornings anymore. As an added benefit, my friends keep telling me that my skin is absolutely glowing. This Chyawanprash will continue to be a part of my daily routine forever. I never want to go without this again. Thank you Pior Living!
I found this Chyawanprash stuff in my friend Amy's herbal tea collection when I house-sat for her a few weeks ago this summer, and I immediately took to this delicious black gunk. It has become part of my morning routine, which I never rush. Personally, I enjoy it as a tea mixed in 4 oz. of lukewarm water. I no longer feel groggy in the morning but feel alert and ready to get on with my day, no longer feeling like I have to have an espresso beverage. I'm new to Ayurveda and still learning but the small changes I've made, including Chyawanprash, have already brought my body relief. I'm definitely going to become a monthly subscriber.
